Two Students Expelled from School for Not Wearing Masks for ‘Christian Belief’

A school in Temecula was placed on lockdown after two students refused to comply with the mask mandate. The students say they chose to not wear the masks for religious reasons.

The siblings told NBC that they refused to wear masks because of their religious beliefs.

The father of the siblings, Gary Nelson, told NBC that his children were sent home from Springs Charter Schools Temecula Student Center and “told not to come back with or without a mask.” And if they returned, “they would be charged with trespassing.”

“The Bible says we’re made in the image of God and Satan tries to cover that up. A mask is a sign of oppression,” Nelson told NBC on Thursday. “If it was Muslim, Jewish or something of a more high-profile minority religion in this country, yes, they would have accommodated … just to say they weren’t discriminating based on that religion. But they feel safe because it’s Christianity.”

It is not a Christian belief to refuse to wear a mask, according to NBC.

Principal Rebecca Fabozzi wrote in a letter to Nelson, “Each of your students refused to comply with the CDPH mask mandate for public schools. When asked by staff to wear a face covering, your students refused to comply,” NBC reported.

Principal Speaks Publicly After Video Captures Four Teens Surrounding Lone Elderly Man On Street

Compassion is a commodity especially nowadays. There is no substitute for genuine kindness and its ability to spark more good deeds towards other people.

Kindness can be found in almost unexpected places.

When four 9th grade students were told to help an elderly man who obviously needed help, their school was over the moon with what they accomplished.

Jose Cerda, Lashante Smith, Makayla Ward, and another unidentified classmate jumped into action after a stranger asked for assistance.

“We saw him walking at a steady pace for a second and then he looked like he was staggering a little bit. He was holding onto things,” Jose Cerda said.

Lashante Smith asked the old man if he needed help and the old man said he did.

Their deed could be seen by a man who took video footage of the teens helping out the man.

According to the students, they sat the man down and waited for an ambulance to arrive. They didn’t anticipate the video of them assisting another person being shared hundreds of times on Facebook.

The Allen school administrators saw it as a big deal because it was evidence of the enormous changes that have happened in the community.

William Allen High School Principal Shannon Mayfield said, “It makes me proud, it makes the community proud. That’s the way to lift people up, that’s what we are all about.”

“I don’t think this was going to be such a big deal, we just did what anyone should do,” Cerda said.

The helpful students say that they are hoping that what they did can inspire other students and even the community to do something good for others.

Galatians 6:9-10 says, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

Girl Asks Server ‘Why Is Your Skin So Dark’ And Before Mom Can Stop Her Woman Comes Back With Beautiful Response

Mrs Cynthia is an employee at the Waffle House who developed a special bond with Holland, author Mary Katherine Backstrom’s daughter.

They mother and daughter are regular customers at the restaurant Mrs Cynthia works in. The waitress has even put to heart what Holland orders every time she visits: Crispy bacon, a waffle, and a side of chocolate chips. Mrs Cynthia never fails to serve little Holland’s order with her trademark smile.

In the past, they have played “Let It Go” on the jukebox whenever they would arrive. Everyone would sing and dance ballet with the little girl who would be so pleased with the crew’s enthusiasm.

But one day, Holland did something unexpected. But come to think of it, as kids, they always do the unexpected.

Something intrigued the little girl about Mrs Cynthia. Holland looked at the waitress with a little more intensity one day. She furled her eyebrows and opened her mouth to ask her a question.

“Mrs. Cynthia, I want to have dark skin like you. Why is your skin so dark?”

To the surprise of her mother, her heart began to race. She panicked. But before she could answer, Mrs Cynthia answered:

“Because God made everyone different! Isn’t that wonderful?!”

Her daughter nodded in agreement and added:

“But, Mrs. Cynthia—if I had your skin, we could both dress up like Tiana!” (Tiana is a Disney princess who is also working at a restaurant.)

Mrs Cynthia laughed and said: “You can dress like Tiana any time, honey.”

While this seemed like a heart-stopping moment, it was also a situation we can all learn from. Remember in creation after finishing a creation, God said it was good.

We should all go beyond race and nationality. We are all created in the image and likeness of God and with that, we are all beautiful.

Jimmy Stewart’s Poem About His Dog Brings Johnny Carson To Tears

Legendary actor Jimmy Stewart brings host Johnny Carson to tears with a touching poem about his dog, Beau.

For decades, Jimmy Stewart graced our screens with award-winning movies like ‘It’s A Wonderful Life’ and ‘The Philadelphia Story.’ His distinctive drawl and portrayal of relatable characters made Jimmy Stewart a beloved actor.

Some people may not know that Jimmy was also a talented writer and poet. In this classic clip from 1981, Jimmy appeared as a guest on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. During the segment, Jimmy asked if he could read a poem about his dog, Beau.

“On the evening walks, and Gloria took him,
He was always first out the door.
The Old One and I brought up the rear
Because our bones were sore.”

At first, the poem is quite comical. You can hear the audience and host laughing out loud. But then, this touching piece about the golden retriever takes a more serious tone.

“And there are nights when I think I feel that stare
And I reach out my hand to stroke his hair,
But he’s not there.
Oh, how I wish that wasn’t so,
I’ll always love a dog named Beau.”

If you have ever been a pet owner, you know that these special animals are near and dear to our hearts. They truly become a part of our family and when they leave this earth, the absence is felt. No wonder this beautiful poem brought Johnny Carson to tears. I’m wiping away a few myself.

No One Would Take Twin Brother With Special Needs To Senior Prom Night So Sister Steps In

You remember your senior prom night, don’t you? It’s one of those nights that marks the end of an era. The end of your formative years and growing up. It’s a night of glamour, fun, friends and your first true taste of freedom. But what happens if no one wants to go with you because you’re different? When no one would go to prom with her twin brother with special needs, this loving sister stepped in.

Carlos Colon marked his calendar for the big event — senior prom night. He couldn’t wait to go but he couldn’t get a date. No one wanted to take a blind guy with autism.

When his twin sister Brianna heard that her precious brother didn’t have a date, she wasn’t taking no for an answer. She wasn’t going to let her brother miss out on such a momentous milestone for teenagers. Brianna knew that he had already missed out on so much because of the disabilities he received at birth.

Both Brianna and Carlos were born at 24 weeks. Each weighed half a pound but Carlos had to fight harder to survive. He suffered a brain bleed and lived in the hospital for the first five months of his life. Because of the brain bleed, he became blind. Later, he was diagnosed with Autism which makes it hard for him to understand socialization and communication. But, just because he’s different doesn’t mean he just wants to be doing normal teenage things like going to prom.

So, his sister Brianna who was already in college called their mom to get her support.

“Brianna approached me and was like why shouldn’t he go? Just because he’s blind and autistic doesn’t mean he can’t go to a prom,” their mother said. Brianna traveled home from college and asked her brother to be her date for the prom.

“Just because he’s blind and autistic doesn’t mean he can’t have fun. I’m glad he got to experience it and he danced a lot, so I’m really glad he went and all that,” said Brianna. But it also happened to be a special night for her too because last year-her senior prom was canceled due to the pandemic. What better way to have some fun than to do it with a sibling?

“I’m lucky to have experienced it this time with him and somebody that I love very much,” she said. Brianna is definitely a special person who is filled with kindness, compassion, gratitude, and a whole lot of Jesus!

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.” Philippians 2:3-4

Mom Breaks Down As She Meets Good Samaritan Who Saved Her Son In Tense Burning Car Rescue

Many are hailing Antonio Morgan a hero for his role in a tense burning car rescue caught on camera. And it was an emotional moment when the mother of the man he saved met the guardian angel God put in the right place at the right time!

23-year-old Kielen Robinson can’t remember how it happened, but somehow his car crashed into the cement median while driving down the interstate in St. Louis. After the crash, the vehicle burst into flames with Kielen still inside.

Antonio Morgan witnessed the crash and immediately pulled over. His 14-year-old son started filming as his dad bravely rushed in to help and managed to capture the entire burning car rescue on camera.

Loud booms sounded as more flames erupted from the engine as Antonio desperately tried to pull Kielen Robinson out of the car. Both men were in serious danger. But Antonio was determined to get the stranger to safety, no matter what.

“I am pulling. He’s not coming. I saw his seat belt. The smoke was right there in my face. I unhooked his seat belt and pulled him out,” the Good Samaritan recalled. “Those flames started right after the smoke. It was hot.”

Finally, Antonio managed to get Kielen free and a safe distance from the crash.

“That last pull, I was out of energy,” the hero recalled. “I was rushing. My adrenaline was rushing, man.”

The burning car rescue was a success!

Mom Thanks Guardian Angel

Because of Antonio Morgan’s bravery, 23-year-old Kielen Robinson is alive and well. And it’s not lost on Kielen’s family just how differently the burning car rescue could have played out.

Miraculously, the young man only suffered a scratch to his finger. And his mother, Kim Johnson, broke down in tears when she got the chance to meet the man who saved her son.

“If he would not have been persistent… my son would be dead right now and I would be planning a funeral,” she said. “My guardian angel saved my baby. This man, hallelujah, thank you, Jesus.”

What an incredible story! God was at work, for sure.

“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

4 Men Start Gospel Flash Mob At Chick-Fil-A – Staff Picks

Chick-Fil-A restaurants are known for their impeccable service and delicious food. You always know when you walk through those doors that you are going to be served a great meal. One of the other reasons that I love Chick-Fil-A is the overall atmosphere. People seem more cheerful and friendly than other restaurants.

Well, these diners at a local Chick-Fil-A were recently treated to a very memorable meal. 4 men were eating when they all stood up and started to look around. Then, in perfect unison, they started to sing an a cappella rendition of the gospel song ‘Every Praise.’ I thought this was such a cool performance, but then they pointed to the other side of the restaurant and more people started to join in.

Then, little by little, more and more men stood up and started to sing along. It was a full-on gospel flash mob and there were smiles all over the place. I just love seeing all of the people that were reached by this incredible musical number and the joyful noise that filled our God’s ears in Heaven. When one of the men posted the footage online, it immediately went viral.

It’s now been viewed over 4 million times and His message is continuing to spread. I sure do wish I could’ve seen this incredible flash mob in person. I think this is such an incredible way to bring some happiness to strangers and help God’s light shine through you. Who else is saying amen right now?
