7 Ways the Holy Spirit Will Communicate With You

One of the tragic losses in modern Christianity is the near-elimination of the Holy Spirit from the life and activity of many believers. Religion that is learned and formalized can function without the Holy Spirit; true spirituality cannot. A prominent church leader once said of his denomination that “If the Holy Spirit were to disappear from the Church 90% of its work would go on as if nothing happened.” In many cases that is so. The loss is enormous.

While your church or denomination may not be like that, there are still no known Christians today experiencing the Holy Spirit in the same capacity as did first century believers. Nor are we getting the same results. Modern Christianity exerts a fading influence in Western culture.

In John 16:13, Jesus promised, “When the Spirit of truth has come He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is mine and declare it to you.” And again, in John 15:26 He said, “When the Helper comes whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me.”

The word Jesus used for “Helper” has a rich and wonderful meaning in its Greek equivalent, parakletos, and was used in the ancient Olympic Games to identify those who accompanied a marathon runner by shouting encouragement to him. This example of the Holy Spirit and the Christian with the marathon-runner to his paraklete is an excellent illustration. Para = “alongside of;” kaleo = “to call.” Here are six scriptural ways the Holy Spirit wants to accompany our race and shout encouragement:

1. The Holy Spirit bears witness directly to our Spirit and leads us internally: Romans 8:16: “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” 1 John 5:6-8: “And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.”

2. The Holy Spirit will lead us externally: Acts 16:6-7: “Now when they had gone through Phrygia and the region of Galatia, they were forbidden by the Holy Spirit to preach the word in Asia. After they had come to Mysia, they tried to go into Bithynia but the Spirit did not permit them.” Genesis 24:27: “As for me, being on the way, the Lord led me to the house of my master’s brethren.”

1 Samuel 10:6: “Then the Spirit of the Lord will come upon you, and you will prophesy with them and be turned into another man.” Galatians 5:16-19: “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.”

3. The Holy Spirit will speak to us in words and sentences: Acts 8:27-29: “And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, was returning. And sitting in his chariot, he was reading Isaiah the prophet.

Then the Spirit said to Philip, ‘Go near and overtake this chariot.’” Acts 10:19-21: “While Peter thought about the vision, the Spirit said to him, ‘Behold, three men are seeking you. Arise therefore, go down and go with them, doubting nothing; for I have sent them.’”

4. The Holy Spirit will speak to us prophetically through others: Acts 11:27-28: “And in these days prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch. Then one of them, named Agabus, stood up and showed by the Spirit that there was going to be a great famine throughout all the world, which also happened in the days of Claudius Caesar.” Acts 6:8-11: “And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and signs among the people. Then there arose some from what is called the Synagogue of the Freedmen (Cyrenians, Alexandrians, and those from Cilicia and Asia), disputing with Stephen.

And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.” Acts 21:9-11: “Now Philip had four virgin daughters who prophesied. And as we stayed many days, a certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. When he had come to us, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own hands and feet, and said, “Thus says the Holy Spirit, ‘So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’”

5. The Holy Spirit gives specific revelation knowledge: Ephesians 3:1-6: “For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for you Gentiles—if indeed you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which was given to me for you, how that by revelation He made known to me the mystery (as I have briefly written already, by which, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ), which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to His holy apostles and prophets …”

I Corinthians 12:8: “For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit.” I Corinthians 2:9-10: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.”

6. The Holy Spirit speaks through the written Word of Scripture: 2 Peter 1:19-2:1: “And so we have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts; knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

2 Peter 1:20, 21: “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

7. The Holy Spirit speaks through visions and dreams: Acts 2:17: “And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.” 2 Corinthians 12:1-2: “It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.”

Acts 9:10-12: “Now there was a certain disciple at Damascus named Ananias; and to him the Lord said in a vision , ‘Ananias’. And he said, ‘Here I am, Lord’. So the Lord said to him, ‘Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying. And in a vision he has seen a man named Ananias coming in and putting his hand on him, so that he might receive his sight.’” Acts 16:9: “And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, ‘Come over to Macedonia and help us.’”

American Keni Harrison proclaims ‘all the glory goes to God’ after winning silver medal

An American athlete has thanked God after securing a medal in the 2020 Summer Olympics, making her the latest participant to acknowledge the importance of faith in the wake of victory.

American hurdler Kendra “Keni” Harrison won a silver medal for Team USA in the 100-meter hurdles Monday at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan. In an interview with NBC following the event, Harrison proclaimed that “all the glory goes to God just to have this opportunity.”

As noted in a separate NBC interview conducted before winning the silver medal, “Five years ago, Keni walked into the Olympic trials the hands-down favorite.” However, she finished in sixth place, preventing her from competing in the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Two weeks after the 2016 Olympic trials, Harrison broke the world record for hurdling. Harrison’s pinned tweet shows a video of her breaking the world record in 2016, accompanied by the caption, “I am a walking testimony of how incredible God truly is.”

Video footage of Harrison at the Olympic trials and the competition where she broke the world record, included in the NBC report, revealed that the athlete had a cross around her neck on both occasions.

Additionally, Harrison wore the cross as she spoke with NBC News via video in the latter part of the interview and as she practiced for the Tokyo Games as part of the network’s feature on her.

“I learn from my mistakes,” she told NBC, according to Christian Headlines. “For this to be my first Olympics and to come here on this world stage, and represent my country to the best of my ability — all the glory goes to God just to have this opportunity. … Just to get a silver medal at this stage, it’s amazing.”

Monday’s post-victory interview was not the first time Harrison put her faith on display. Her Twitter biography features the phrase “I love Jesus.”

In 2018, she told Athletics Weekly that hurdling has “enabled my Christian faith to grow.”

According to Harrison, “Having my faith has enabled me to get up so many times when I’ve fallen in the sport.”

“Without this gift that God has given me, I wouldn’t be where I am now,” she said at the time.

Harrison, who was born two months premature and adopted as a baby, also thanked her family of 10 siblings for their support.

“To be adopted, and to be raised in such a big family, and for my siblings to see the journey I’ve been doing — I hope I made them proud,” Harrison said.

Harrison’s comments following her silver medal performance come as other Olympians have used their platform to credit faith and God for achievements in this year’s Olympics and Olympic trials.

After securing a spot in the Tokyo Games earlier this summer, American hurdler and sprinter Sydney McLaughlin gave “all the glory to God” in an interview with NBC Sports.

“Honestly, this season, just working with my new coach and my new support system, it’s truly just faith and trusting the process,” she said. “I couldn’t ask for anything more, and it truly is all a gift from God.”

Like Harrison, McLaughlin’s faith figures prominently on her social media platforms.

The athlete’s Twitter biography simply reads “Child of God,” accompanied by a heart emoji. The cover photo on her Twitter account is a picture of clouds emblazoned with the phrase “Saved by Grace.”

South African swimmer Tatjana Schoenmaker has worn two swim caps throughout her time competing in Tokyo: one representing her native country and the other featuring the Latin phrase “Soli Deo Gloria,” which translates to “Glory to God Alone.”

Just days before setting a new record for women’s 200-meter breaststroke, she shared a prayer on her Instagram account: “Father God, may Your will be done, may Your peace fill us up, may we praise You no matter what the outcome.”

After winning a gold medal for the Philippines, weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz clutched the Miraculous Medal of the Virgin Mary around her neck in addition to pointing to Heaven and making the sign of the cross.

So far, Diaz’s victory in the weightlifting competition marks the only time that the Philippines has won a gold medal. The island nation’s overall medal count stands at two, as the country has also picked up a silver medal.

As several athletes have received praise for their public professions of faith, others have faced blowback for engaging in social justice activism that critics characterize as unpatriotic.

With less than a week remaining in the 2020 Tokyo Games, the U.S. currently leads in the medal count, having amassed a total of 73 medals as of Tuesday afternoon, slightly ahead of China’s 69. The closing ceremony is scheduled to take place Sunday.

Breathtaking Image of Jesus Appears in Clouds During Sunset, Visual Captured on Camera

Italian artist Alfredo Lo Brutto was able to photograph a beautiful shot that looked like Jesus with His arms outstretched during a sunset in Italy.

“I was enchanted by the view,” the artist said.

“I don’t often share pictures on social media, but when I took this one, I instantly felt like I wanted other people to see, because it was so beautiful.”

The photo immediately went viral with many social media users saying that they could clearly see the shape of Jesus in the sky with His arms in a blessing gesture.

Lo Brutto’s timing couldn’t have been more perfect as he captured the image right when sunlight pierced through the clouds.

Some reported that it looked a lot like an illuminated version of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The statue, made of reinforced concrete and soapstone is the tallest statue of Christ ever made standing 120 feet tall! Definitely another sight to be seen.

Info Cilento in Italy reported that the image was taken from Piazza Sanseverino.

“Luminous figure seems human, the classic Christ blessing that we see in many representations…that is attracting the attention of many people.”

This isn’t the first time people have seen Jesus in some surprising ways. Last year, Cathy Radar found the image of Jesus Christ on a horseshoe crab shell!

Rader had been doing devotionals in the morning and felt she had received a message from God. The following day, she spotted some odd markings on the crab shell sitting on the porch.

“I went past it and I noticed something, and I looked and it looked like the face of Jesus.”

The image of Jesus caught in the clouds among other places just proves that Jesus’ image can be found anywhere. Those who see these images often see the occurrence as a blessing and a message from God.

Little Girl Writes a Letter to God After Her Dog Dies and Mom Is Stunned When She Gets Reply

A little girl writes a letter to God, and nobody was more surprised than her mom when the letter got a response! This story is so sweet and reminds us how wonderful the faith of a child can be.

All dogs go to heaven, right? One little girl wrote a letter to God just to make sure her dog Abbey got there safely!

There’s having the faith of a mustard seed and then there’s the faith of a child such as four-year-old Meredith. This precious little girl writes a letter to God after her dog dies and mom is stunned when she gets a reply!

Girl Writes A Letter To God

Abbey was a big, larger-than-life playmate to Meredith. They did everything together until one day the 14-year-old dog passed away.

Needless to say, Meredith was heartbroken. She then asked her mom if she could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to Heaven, God would recognize her and take care of Abbey. Meredith’s sweet mother agreed to help write the letter. As Meredith dictated what to say, her mother wrote:

“Dear God,

Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.

I hope you will play with her. She likes to swim and play with balls. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.

Love, Meredith”

Then Meredith added a picture to the letter and stuffed both as well as a whole lot of faith into an envelope and addressed it to: God/Heaven. Then she added several stamps and put the letter in the mail.

Reply Comes After Girl Writes A Letter To God

Days passed and her mother assumed that would be the end of the letter. But then one afternoon a package wrapped in gold paper arrived on their front porch with Meredith’s name on it.

Together, they opened the box to find a book written by Mr. Rogers titled, “When A Pet Dies.” Inside the cover was the letter they had written to God and the photo they sent. On the opposite page was a letter addressed to Meredith.

It read:

“Dear Meredith,

Abbey arrived safely in heaven. Having the picture was a big help and I recognized her right away.

Abbey isn’t sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to keep your picture in so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.

Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you. I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much. By the way, I’m easy to find. I am wherever there is love.

Love, God”

Amazing Act Of Kindness

Needless to say, there are angels dressed in the uniforms of the United States Post Office. One of them got this little girl’s letter to God and took the time to not only write a thoughtful, heartfelt response to ease the ache of losing a loved one but this angel also purchased a book to help Meredith’s heart heal from losing her beloved pet.

This is more than just faith. This is faith, wrapped in love and mixed with kindness! What a beautiful way to help someone heal.

“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” Revelations 21:4

Pregnant & Paralyzed Bride Walks Down the Aisle After Being Told She’d Never Walk or Have Kids

In this positive news story, a paralyzed bride walks down the aisle even though doctors said she’d never walk again. They also said she’d never have any more kids, yet she’s pregnant. And Brittney Bedwell’s inspiring story is a powerful reminder of why we should never give up!

In 2017, Brittney Bedwell and her young son were in a terrible ATV accident. Thankfully, Brittney’s son walked away from the crash without any serious injuries. However, for Brittney, doctors had a long list of things she’d never do again.

So, it’s a triumphant moment years in the making when the paralyzed bride walks down the aisle on her wedding day!

Inspiring Journey To Defy The Odds

After the crash left her paralyzed, doctors told Brittney Bedwell her life would be very different.

“A doctor told me that I was never going to walk again, and I didn’t want to believe that,” she recalled.

At first, Brittney battled depression over the many things doctors said she would never again be able to do. She almost gave up. But then, God did something amazing.

“I just woke up one day and I just like started feeling some stuff in my legs and I knew that it wasn’t over,” Brittney said.

Brittney became determined to defy the doctor’s expectations. And she immediately started working hard toward a goal that seemed impossible.

“I just knew that I had to overcome [the doctor] saying, ‘Oh, you’re not going to walk again.’ I just kept pushing myself,” she recalls.

Brittney’s determination only grew after she met and eventually became engaged to Glen Hitchcock. The desire for the pregnant bride to walk down the aisle at her wedding only fueled her perseverance.

“It was really important to me because I got to watch my sisters walk down the aisle with [our dad], and I knew I wanted to do that, so I had to push myself even harder,” Brittney explained.

Paralyzed Bride Walks Down The Aisle

Brittney Bedwell kept pushing herself. And when the big day finally arrived, all eyes were on Brittney as the paralyzed bride walks down the aisle!

“When I looked out to the crowd they all had tears in their eyes and I just felt amazed that they were all there for me and Glen,” inspirational overcomer Brittney Bedwell said.

It was truly a powerful moment for all who witnessed it.

“She leaves me speechless,” her sister, Ashley Sieb, wrote on Facebook. “So I’ll just say – Brittney Bedwell inspires me to never give up. To believe in miracles — to stay strong — to defy the odds — to love deeply and freely.”

“I’m over the moon honestly,” said Brittney’s husband, Glen. “I know she is going to get out of this [wheel]chair eventually. It’s just a matter of time.”

And that’s not the only miracle for this amazing couple!

Paralyzed Bride Story Is Meant To Inspire

Because of the injuries Brittney suffered during the ATV accident, doctors didn’t think she’d ever be able to get pregnant again.

But while this paralyzed bride walks down the aisle and inspires so many, that wasn’t the only miracle. She and her husband Glen had news that yet again defied all the odds. The couple is having a baby!

After being told there were so many things she wouldn’t ever do again, Brittney Bedwell could have given up. But she didn’t. She dug deep and kept fighting.

Brittney isn’t done fighting, either. She plans to keep pushing and working to do even more.

“It’s crazy — I didn’t think I would get this far,” she said. “I think if I keep going, I think I’ll be able to walk. I may not walk normally, but I would be able to walk longer than walking down the aisle.”

And Brittney wants her story to inspire and encourage others.

“I want [people] to accomplish their goals and not be afraid to do something that they’re scared of because you never know how the outcome will be,” she explained.

Brittney says to “just keep pushing yourself.” And she’s right!
It’s easy to give up when things seem impossible. But we need to keep pushing ourselves to do our part, then let God do the rest!

“For with God nothing will be impossible.” Luke 1:37

Army Chaplain Baptizes Soldier Overseas In Iraq

An Army Chaplain baptizes a fellow soldier in powerful moment caught on camera. In this day and age, it’s important to lift up the important moments where God completely shines through. It seems like every time that you turn on the news or watch a video, there is something bad going on.

There is so much hate in our world today that it can be tough to find the positive aspects. It’s so important to remember that God is alive and working all around us, even when we think He’s not there. And that’s so apparent in this recent moment overseas in Iraq.

Army Chaplain Jon Pirtle is helping another soldier accept Jesus Christ as their Savior. Just watch as this incredible baptism takes place right in front of our eyes. It’s truly a blessed moment when someone makes the decision to accept Jesus Christ into their hearts and give themselves to Him.

I sure wish we could see more things positive and faith-filled moments like this on the news or on social media. I’m just so glad that this amazing baptism was all captured on video and now thousands of people are able to witness this moment that took place in Iraq. We are so thankful for the men and women of our military. I bet there was a lot of ‘amens‘ in the room that day!

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Mark Wahlberg Called His Mom Every Morning But Now She’s Gone

Actor and Christian celebrity Mark Wahlberg called his mom, Alma, first thing every morning. But her death in April of 2021 put an end to their daily chats. And now, Mark opens up about his grief and how he misses his mom every single day.

Mark Wahlberg may be a big-time actor. But no matter how busy Hollywood kept him, he always made sure to honor his mother’s one request — “Call your mother.”

“Mark calls me from all over the world. Every single day,” Alma Wahlberg boasted in 2018. “I don’t care if it’s 3 o’clock in the morning!”

WATCH: Mark Wahlberg Called Mom Daily, Per Her Request

Once Mark Wahlberg made the commitment to call his mom every day, he stuck with it. Right up until Alma Wahlberg died at the age of 78. And with the devastating loss of his mom came the loss of their treasured daily routine, too.

“It was always the first phone call that I made every single day for the last 10 years, was to my mom,” he said, “And I don’t get to make that phone call anymore. And it’s heartbreaking. And that’s hard.”

A Focus On Faith And Family

Family and faith are now of the utmost importance to the Christian celebrity. But that wasn’t always the case.

Growing up, times were tough for Mark Wahlberg and his mom and siblings. And during his youth, Mark made some pretty poor choices. He even landed in jail after robbing a convenience store.

But those hard times, coupled with the love and support from his mom, eventually inspired Mark to surrender to his Heavenly Father.

“I had to make the choice personally, and then I had to focus on my faith,” he explained. “And my faith has really allowed me to overcome a lot of things.”

Once Mark made the decision to submit to God’s will, everything changed. He traded his troubled youth headed towards a life of crime for hard work and determination. And it paid off!

Mark Wahlberg And Siblings Honor Their Late Mom

Mark may have made it big in Hollywood, but his mom always measured his success differently. She made sure Mark Wahlberg’s net worth wasn’t found in fame or fortune but rather in faith and family.

“What made her most proud was us really kind of turning our lives around and becoming really productive people and the family-oriented people that we are,” the Christian celebrity explained. “She was most proud of the husband and the dad that I was. I mean, she always appreciated the successes and the things that I was able to do professionally, but the personal growth really meant something to her.”

It was hard on all of Alma Wahlberg’s kids when she began suffering from dementia. And her son Donnie Wahlberg of Blue Bloods and music group New Kids On The Block penned a beautiful tribute to her on Instagram.

“I’m so blessed to have been brought into this world by, raised by, taught by and set on my life’s path by, such an amazing woman,” he wrote. “It’s time to rest peacefully, mom.”

Tragic Loss Brings Wahlberg Family Closer

The emphasis Alma Wahlberg put on family and faith throughout her life has become her legacy. And her children are honoring her by pulling closer together.

Mark Wahlberg credits his sister for stepping up to try and fill the role his mom once played as the glue holding the family together.

“Now I have my sister who has really been an enormous support system for our entire family,” he said. “We’re now communicating much more than we were because everybody obviously was off doing their own thing and they’d be in their own lives. And now we’re constantly doing a multi-person FaceTime.”

Moms truly are a blessing from God. And we should never underestimate the power of a mother’s prayer for her children!

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Dad Instantly Loves Baby with Down Syndrome But Sadly, Boy’s Mom Didn’t Feel the Same

When doctors told Evgeny Anisimov he had a baby with Down syndrome, his wife wanted to give the child up. But instead, this brave dad sacrificed everything so he could raise his beautiful son alone. And he’s committed to encouraging others with his inspiring story!

When Evgeny Anisimov of Russia and his wife welcomed their first child together, they celebrated for only 1 minute and 39 seconds. The doctor’s words took things in a very different direction:

“I fear that your baby has Down syndrome.”

The diagnosis shocked Evgeny and he even shed some tears, realizing there would be obstacles to overcome in raising a baby with Down syndrome. But this changed nothing about the love and commitment he felt towards his child.

“At no time did I think of leaving my son in an orphanage,” he said. “That would be inhumane.”

Sadly, his wife and her family didn’t feel the same way.

Mother Rejects Baby With Down Syndrome

After the doctors explained that little Mishka had an extra copy of chromosome 21, resulting in Down syndrome, his mother no longer wanted him. Her parents recommended the couple turn the baby boy over to an orphanage.

“Let the state take care of him,” Evgeny recalls his father-in-law saying. “And you will still give birth to a healthy one, and your life will be joyful, not in sorrow.”

Thankfully, Evgeny Anisimov saw his baby with Down syndrome just as God intended — as a blessing. He refused to give his son up, even if that meant raising him alone.

His wife’s reaction came as a shock. They’d had a good marriage up until Mishka’s birth and usually shared the same values. But the two didn’t agree on what to do with Mishka and wound up going their separate ways.

Even so, Evgeny forgave his wife for the decision she made.

“Now I understand that she was just scared at the time,” he says. “She started to act according to the wrong scenario.”

Living Out God’s Plan

Evgeny gave up everything he knew from his life before in order to be a good father to Mishka.

“I had a good job in Moscow and this was a big turning point in my career, but I couldn’t leave my son,” he said. “He needed love and warmth.”

Though it meant sacrificing a life he once cherished, Evgeny was committed to giving his baby with Down syndrome all the love he deserves.

“When a child is born, he asks the outside world: ‘Am I needed here or not?’ And I answer with certainty: ‘Son, you are needed!’,” Evgeny explains.

Now, Evgeny Anisimov lives as a single father raising his “sunny” child. He dedicates his time to helping his son develop physically and mentally. And even though it cost him his wife, Evgeny is happy with his choice to stand by his son.

This brave dad is also sharing the story of his baby with Down syndrome as a way of inspiring and encouraging others.

Evgeny Anisimov works hard to raise awareness about Down syndrome. He seeks to inspire acceptance and inclusivity for those with special needs. And he wants his story to encourage others who are facing similar difficulties.

“I also want to support, inspire with my example those people who are or will be in the same situation as me,” the single dad says. “Have no fear! Everything will be fine!”

Following God’s plan for us rarely comes without sacrifice. But what we give up always pales in comparison to what we gain.

“Let it not seem to you that one of these little ones is of no value; for I say to you that in heaven their angels see at all times the face of my Father in heaven.” Matthew 18:10

Wife Wakes To Find Husband Dеаd But 90 Minutes Later, His Heart Miraculously Starts Beating Again

Alistair Blake was dеаd 90 minutes. Everyone had given up hope — police, paramedics, even his wife. But then, suddenly, he came back, earning himself the nickname of Lazarus from medical staff. And his recovery is truly a miracle story!

Melinda and Alistair Blake of Australia were spending some time in their vacation home when the unthinkable happened.

Melinda awoke in the middle of the night and thought her husband was snoring. But when she returned from the bathroom, she realized the noises she’d heard were something far more serious.

dеаd 90 Minutes

Alistair had turned blue and was unresponsive. It turns out he’d suffered cardiac arrest due to a blocked artery and he would spend 90 minutes dеаd.

But little did Melinda know, God had been preparing her for this moment!

Just 3 weeks prior, Melinda had brushed up on her first aid training with a refresher course. So, after calling emergency services, she immediately started performing CPR. She knew it was going to take the paramedics a while to make it to the beach house.

“I knew he was dying, that we were in trouble and I was on my own down at the beach house,” Melinda explained.

Even after paramedics arrived, nothing seemed to be bringing Alistair back. They spent more than an hour working on him. But after 8 shocks from a defibrillator and the administration of adrenaline, everyone thought he was gone.

After all, he’d been dеаd 90 minutes.

“When he was dying on the floor I was saying to him ‘c’mon, c’mon, you have to be a pa, you have to be around’,” Melinda said. The couple, married for 30 years, were about to become grandparents.

But next, something that can only be explained by God happened!

Husband Comes Back From The dеаd

Paramedics were wrapping up. Police were explaining to Melinda how they’d been working on Alistair for a long time without success. She was imagining having to tell their 3 children their father was gone.

But then, after being dеаd 90 minutes, Alistair’s chest started shaking and his pulse suddenly returned!

They rushed Alistair Blake to the hospital, where Profesor Jamie Layland and Professor Ravi Tiruvoipati performed surgery to unblock the artery. They gave Alistair a pacemaker and defibrillator and watched in amazement as he recovered fully.

“In Alistair’s case [he was dеаd for] nearly one hour and 30 minutes — him surviving to this extent is remarkable,” Professor Ravi Tiruvoipati said.

Alistair suffered no brain damage or lasting side effects. He’s since gone on to celebrate his 60th birthday and welcome a new granddaughter. And after being dеаd 90 minutes, there’s no medical explanation for this kind of recovery.

“This is a guy that by all accounts should be dеаd but he’s alive and has made a miraculous recovery,” Profesor Jamie Layland said. “I actually nicknamed him Lazarus because literally he was dеаd and they were just about to pull out and stop treating him. In those few minutes, he came back.”

And Alistair knows he’s been given a gift.

“I feel it is a miracle that I am as fit, able and healthy as I am compared with the potential of what I could have ended up being,” he said.

This inspirational short story is such a powerful reminder that our God still performs miracles today!
